Information we may collect

How we use information

We use information to operate Words, sync your progress, personalize review, provide audio and pronunciation features, manage access to premium features, improve reliability, prevent abuse, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

Words may use trusted providers for authentication, database hosting, speech processing, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, and store purchases. These may include Supabase, Microsoft Azure, Apple, Google, and the advertising or analytics providers identified in the app. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Advertising

The free version may display advertising. Premium users are intended to receive an ad-free experience. Where required, Words will request consent before using information for personalized advertising.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and learning information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service. You may request account deletion. Some limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, store transactions, or legal compliance. See the Delete Account page for details.

Your choices

You can choose whether to use microphone-based features, manage device permissions in system settings, manage advertising choices where offered, and request deletion of your account and associated data.

Children’s privacy

Words is not currently directed to children under 13 and should not be used by a child without the involvement of a parent or guardian where required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Words adds features, languages, or service providers. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
